John “Jack” Ramos, age 93, of Hollywood, Florida, passed away on August 27, 2025. He was born in the Bronx, New York on March 11, 1932 to the late John and Esther Ramos.

Jack went to military school in his late teens and joined the US Marine Corps, enlisting at the age of 17. He was one of the first men to enlist to serve in the Korean War. Jack received 2 Purple Hearts and his service meant everything to him throughout his life. He even wore his Purple Heart cap right up to the end.

Jack is survived by his wife, Milagros Cardenas Ramos; son, John (Ann); daughters: Julie (Izzy), Jill (Jose) and Deborah (Wally); grandchildren: Jesse, Wally Jr., Eric and Shalisa and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was a long time member and usher at Sheridan Hills Baptist Church.

Jack was known far and wide for his love of both good and bad jokes.

He was an avid fan, he really loved the New York Yankees.

Also, Jack was known for his love of his pets! Buddy II, his Yorkie, will miss him.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Urn Committal to be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 12:30 PM with Military Honors to be rendered by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth (Wellington), Florida 33449.
