Paulette M Guillet-Millien was born to the late Andre Mondesir and Jeanne Guillet on July 17, 1938.
Paulette M. Guillet-Millien completed her early education in Gonaïves, Haiti, before moving to Port-au-Prince after high school. There, she welcomed two daughters Ludgette (Lourdes) Cupidon and Darnell Louis-Sanon and later met the love of her life, Eric Millien. The couple married in 1967 and soon after were blessed with another daughter Ericka Millien (The Pest Ti’Ka).
In 1968, Paulette left Haiti for St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, and not long after, she settled in Nyack, New York. She began working as a custodian at Nyack Hospital, and during her time in New York, she became a proud mother to two sons Jude Millien and the late Ricky Millien.
In 1974, Paulette and her family relocated to Florida, where she first worked as a housekeeper. Determined to create a better future, she furthered her education and proudly transitioned into a new career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in 1981. She served with compassion at Miami Jewish Hospital for 20 years, leaving a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues.
Paulette was truly a jack of all trades. She opened her home and heart to anyone who walked through her door, always making sure they felt cared for and welcomed. A dedicated businesswoman, she worked tirelessly to ensure that her family never struggled and always had what they needed.
She found joy in cooking for her friends, family, and anyone fortunate enough to sit at her table. Paulette also loved keeping her home spotless, spending time watching wrestling with her husband and grandchildren, and listening to music. Among her favorites were Hot in Herre by Nelly and The Power of Love by Celine Dion.
With her lively spirit, Paulette always kept up with the latest celebrity news, family updates, and community happenings. She cherished every story and every laugh that came with them, making her the heart of countless conversations.
After her retirement in 2001, Paulette moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida, where she gave her life to the Lord and she spent her golden years surrounded by her loved ones, enjoying the life she had worked so hard to build.
Paulette leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Eric Millien; Daughters, Lourdes Cupidon, Darnell Louis-Sanon (Fresnel Sanon), and Ericka Millien; and Son Jude Millien (Dishane Millien). She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren: one of them also being her God daughter, granddaughter Crystal Cupidon, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and 1 godchild Marie Darnell Sorel with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Paulette will be greeted with open arms by her mother and father Andre Mondesir and Jeanne Guillet, her son Ricky Millien, and her brothers and sisters Jacques Guillet, Mack Lalanne, Charlotte Guillet, Degrace Guillet.
