Gyslaine (David) Piquion, born January 20, 1943, entered eternal rest on September 15, 2025, surrounded by her husband, sons, and daughter-in-law.
Born in Haiti, Gyslaine was one of ten children of Reverend Maurice and Vaina Calixte David, both of whom preceded her in death. She grew up in a close-knit, faith-filled family before making her home in Laurelton, New York. In 1988, she and her family relocated to Florida, where she spent the rest of her life.
Gyslaine had a gift for bringing people together. She loved cooking dinners for her family, and her meals were as memorable as the joy and laughter that filled her home. She cherished visits from loved ones and enjoyed every celebration, large or small.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Magloire David, Father Remy David, and Max David, and her sister Immacula David Louis-Charles.
Gyslaine is survived by her husband, Charles Piquion; her sons, Jean Marc Piquion and his wife Laura, and Donald Piquion; her brothers Lionel, Franz, and William David; and her sisters Ketly and Myrtha David. She also leaves behind a wide circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will carry her memory with love.
Her life will be remembered for the warmth she shared, the meals she cooked, and the love she gave without measure.
A Visitation will be held on September 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a Tributes of a Lifetime service starting at 1:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, located at 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.
