Robert Levy, 89, husband of Norma Levy for 70 years, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, surrounded by family. Robert was born in 1936 in Newark, New Jersey, to Joan Caputo and Harry Levy. He later had a stepfather, Ralph Caputo. He was predeceased by his older sister, Anna Andreini-Brophy, and his younger brother, Richard Levy.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his four children: Linda Wells, Wanda Razsi, Dale Levy, and Carla Pehota; and his sons- and daughters-in-law: Ronald Razsi (predeceased), Kelly Levy, and Dennis Pehota. He was a grandfather to Dustin Razsi, Brandy Flores, Casey Levy, Brooke Pehota, Jake Pehota, and Taylor Jensen, and a great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren.
Robert was known for his strong work ethic and deep pride in his home in Davie, Florida, where he resided since 1975. He served his country as a United States Marine. Following his service, he worked for 43 years with the Union Sheet Metal Local 32. Even after retirement, Robert remained actively involved, serving on the union board and maintaining union membership for 70 years. In his free time, Robert enjoyed watching NASCAR races and traveling. He especially loved traveling to Las Vegas where you could often hear him say, “Let it ride”.
A private veterans service will be held in his honor.
