David Magee
March 8, 1938 – May 30, 2026
Magee, David, 88, of Cooper City, Florida passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026. He is survived by his daughter Pam Solomon and his grandchildren, Alex Marie Solomon and Reece Solomon; his stepsons: Hal (Patti) Mingo and Peter Cheng; step- grandchildren, George (Erin Chavez) Mingo, Mark (Vanessa) Mingo, Lisa (Marcus) Poirer, Kristen Foster, Lily Renga and Peter Renga; his brother and sister, Walter (Sandy) Bell and Lenora Deraney and extended family who loved him so. He was predeceased by his wives Dorothy Ruth Magee and Ursula Cheng Magee, his brother Edward Magee and his stepdaughters, Teresa Perkins and Anita Renga.
A gentle spirit who was loved by all who knew him, David will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to his country and his love of the outdoors—especially fishing, hunting, and gardening. A proud veteran of the United States Army who served in South Korea, he had a deep appreciation for military history and the sacrifices of those who served our nation. An avid reader, he spent countless hours studying World War II and other historical events, a passion that remained with him throughout his life.
Visitation will be 4 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Boyd Panciera Funeral Home, 1600 N. University Drive.
Graveside burial service will be on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Fred Hunter’s Hollywood Memorial Gardens North, 3001 N. 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, Florida.
