In Loving Memory of Alcine Dorce
April 9, 1947 – July 3, 2026
With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of Alcine Dorce, who was born on April 9, 1947, in Kenscoff, Haiti, to Cheristil Dorlus and Arianne Antoine. On July 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, she peacefully entered her eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of faith, strength, resilience, generosity, and unconditional love.
Alcine grew up surrounded by a loving family and was blessed with many siblings: Roosevelt, Jean, George, Erique, Agnes, Wilmate, her late brother Wilson, and her late sister Georgette.
She was the proud mother of three sons—Patrick, Eddie, and Fritz Jr. (Tiroy)—who remained the greatest joy and purpose of her life.
In 1975, Alcine made the courageous decision to leave Haiti and immigrate to the United States in search of a better future for her family. She arrived with no relatives nearby, little support, and faced many hardships while navigating difficult immigration laws. The greatest sacrifice of all was leaving her young sons behind in Haiti with their father, her beloved husband, the late Fritz Dorce.
Only four years after she came to the United States, her husband passed away after an illness. Despite the grief and loneliness she endured, Alcine remained determined to build a better life for her children. After eighteen long years of separation, her prayers were answered when, in 1993, she was finally reunited with her sons after they immigrated to the United States.
The many challenges she faced shaped her into a strong and resilient woman. She was known for speaking her mind and having a quick wit, yet beneath her tough exterior was a heart full of compassion. She never hesitated to help someone in need, often opening her home to family members facing difficult times and sharing whatever she had. Her generosity and willingness to give of herself will always be remembered.
Alcine found immense joy in spending time with her family. She treasured every opportunity to gather with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandkids, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and wisdom. Her legacy lives on through the values she instilled: perseverance, sacrifice, generosity, and unconditional love.
Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that her life was a testament to faith, resilience, and devotion to family. Her love will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her three sons, Patrick, Eddie, and Fritz Jr. (Tiroy); her grandchildren and great-grandkids; her brothers and sisters; nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by her love.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
