In Loving Memory of Elena Cordero

Elena Cordero, age 102, of Cooper City, Florida, passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by the love of her family, on July 7, 2026. She was born in the Dominican Republic on August 16, 1923, to the late Juan and Luisa Cabrera.
Elena was a woman of unwavering faith whose life was devoted to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. She loved reading God’s Word, singing hymns of praise, spending time in prayer, and encouraging others to trust in the Lord. She will be remembered for her kindness, her generous heart, and the deep love she had for her family. More than anything, she believed in the importance of loving one another, forgiving freely, and remaining united as a family.
Her life was a testimony of faith, perseverance, and love. She faithfully served God until the very end, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire her family and all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her example of faith and unwavering trust in the Lord will remain in the hearts of those she loved.
She is survived by her children: Zunilda Castillo (Alfredo Castillo), Eduardo Cordero, Rosa Elena Bland, Maria Luisa Diebler (Michael Diebler), Ruth Nina and Aida Andujar (Jose Andujar); grandchildren: Jocasta Castillo, Yolanda Appollonio (Peter Appollonio), Trudy Leal (Toby Leal), Wallezca Cordero, Ciara Cordero (Rafael Goitia), Felicia Beckles (Ryan Beckles), Tabitha Bland, Monica Hedden, Robert Hedden (Jacqueline Hedden), Sarah Datzman (Gerry Datzman), Eliu Nina (Irmy Brito), Aaron Nina, Joseph Andujar (Kristin Andujar), and Jessica Vorhauer; and great-grandchildren: Elena Murray, Maria Appollonio, Nestor Leal, Diego Leal, Jackson Leal, Alejandro Leal, Eduardo Cordero, Elian Rodriguez, Marco Antonio Lugo Cordero, Rian Beckles, Roman Beckles, Adeline Rose Hedden, Nia Nina, Gianna Andujar, Joseph Andujar, Cali Vorhauer, and Catalina Vorhauer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.
Graveside Service will follow at 1:30 PM at Hollywood Memorial Gardens North, 3001 N. 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, Florida 33024.
