Nancy Kelly Sanguigni

August 29, 1958~July 26, 2026

Nancy Kelly Sanguigni, a long-time resident of Davie, Florida, passed away on the evening of July 26, 2026, after a three-year, hard-fought battle with cancer. She was 67. Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born in Warwick, Rhode Island on August 29,1958 to Georgena Kelly and the late John Kelly, Nancy was raised in an Irish Catholic household and was the eldest of five siblings: Susan Kelly Cocco (Ted), the late Stephen Kelly, Erin Kelly Vanasse (Sue), and Mark Kelly (Lori). Nancy graduated from Pilgrim High School in 1976 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Distinction at Nova Southeastern University (“NSU”) in May 1993. She then earned her Master of Business Administration (“MBA”) at NSU in August 2007.

Nancy met a young submariner and surfer, Robert Sanguigni Jr., whom she married July 28, 1984. From this union, the couple had two beautiful sons: Robert III “Bobby” and Kelly. Robert Sanguigni Jr. and Nancy were just two days shy of reaching their 42nd anniversary when Nancy passed.

A dedicated professional, Nancy devoted her professional life to legal education at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, where she touched the lives of thousands of law students who went on to become lawyers and judges. For more than 40 years, Nancy was an integral part of the NSU Law community; she started as an Administrative Aide and served the school diligently in many positions throughout her career. She most recently served as Assistant Dean in the Clinical Programs. She was beloved by her colleagues for her expertise, energy and easy laugh.

At home, Nancy loved long days at the beach, spending time with her family and friends on the pool-deck and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. She had a beautiful smile, big heart and authenticity that drew people close to her. Even as she battled a serious illness, Nancy continued to embrace the best parts of life.

The family will host a church service at St. Bonaventure Catholic Parish, 1301 SW 136th Ave, Davie, FL, at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026.
