Alicia Isabel Soto, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and mother-in-law, passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 77.

Born Alicia Isabel Infantas Figueroa in Santiago, Chile, on October 18, 1948, she arrived in Miami in September 1982 and built a life rooted in family, hard work, and love. She married Pablo Berlan Soto Madrid and became known as Alicia Isabel Soto. A business owner and a woman of remarkable strength, Alicia carried that determination into her most cherished role: caring for her family.

For Alicia, love often began with one familiar question: “¿Tienen hambre?”—“Are you hungry?” In her eyes, everyone could always use something to eat, and making sure her loved ones were fed and cared for was her way of making sure they felt loved. Those simple words will forever bring her family memories of her warmth and concern for others.

Even as Alzheimer’s changed her life, her instinct to care for those around her remained. She continued to worry about whether everyone else was taken care of—a reflection of the loving mother and grandmother she had always been.

Alicia leaves behind her two sons, Pablo and Alejandro; her daughter-in-law, Boni; her cherished grandchildren, Kiara, Palito, and Toñito; her sisters and brothers; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

Her family takes comfort in imagining her reunited with her beloved husband, Pablo, who passed away three years before her, her mother, and the treasured family pets who brought her companionship throughout the years.

We love her very much and will miss her more than words can express. Her strength, her love, and her familiar “¿Tienen hambre?” will remain with us always.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, fro 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 12:30 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Interment will follow at Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Alicia Isabel Soto, querida madre, abuela, hermana, tía y suegra, falleció el 8 de octubre de 2026, a los 77 años.

Nació como Alicia Isabel Infantas Figueroa en Santiago de Chile el 18 de octubre de 1948. Llegó a Miami en septiembre de 1982, donde construyó una vida cimentada en la familia, el trabajo y el amor. Se casó con Pablo Berlan Soto Madrid y adoptó el nombre de Alicia Isabel Soto. Empresaria y mujer de extraordinaria fortaleza, Alicia dedicó esa misma determinación a lo que más atesoraba: cuidar de su familia.

Para Alicia, el amor muchas veces comenzaba con una pregunta muy familiar: «¿Tienen hambre?» Para ella, a todos siempre les venía bien algo de comer, y asegurarse de que sus seres queridos estuvieran bien alimentados y atendidos era su manera de hacerlos sentir amados. Esas sencillas palabras siempre le recordarán a su familia su calidez y su preocupación por los demás.

Aunque el Alzheimer fue cambiando su vida, su instinto de cuidar a quienes la rodeaban permaneció. Seguía preocupándose por que todos estuvieran bien atendidos, un reflejo de la madre y abuela amorosa que siempre había sido.

Alicia deja a sus dos hijos, Pablo y Alejandro; a su nuera, Boni; a sus adorados nietos, Kiara, Palito y Toñito; a sus hermanas y hermanos; y a sus queridos sobrinos y sobrinas.

Su familia encuentra consuelo al imaginarla reunida con su amado esposo, Pablo, quien falleció tres años antes que ella, con su madre, con su padre y con las entrañables mascotas de la familia que le brindaron compañía a lo largo de los años.

La amamos muchísimo y la extrañaremos más de lo que las palabras pueden expresar. Su fortaleza, su amor y su inolvidable «¿Tienen hambre?» permanecerán con nosotros para siempre.

La velación se llevará a cabo el miércoles, 14 de octubre de 2026, de 11:00 a.m. a 1:00 p.m., con un servicio de oración a las 12:30 p.m., en Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Capilla de University Drive. Posteriormente, se realizará el sepelio en el cementerio Vista Memorial Gardens.
