Ana D. Otero, 71, beloved wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A longtime resident of Miramar, Ana was born in Manhattan, New York, one of ten children blessed to Rogelio Negron and Gertrude Negron Rosario.
From a young age, Ana had a passion for beauty and self-expression, which led her to become a talented hairdresser. She found joy in making others feel confident and beautiful, a gift she shared with everyone she met. But beyond her craft, Ana’s greatest joy was the love she built with her husband, Elliot, the love of her life. Together, they created a lifetime of cherished memories, laughter, and unconditional love.
Ana’s warmth and generosity extended far beyond her family. She had a heart that welcomed others as her own, including Magdeline Legra, whom she lovingly embraced as a daughter. Her presence was a light in the lives of so many, and her love knew no bounds.
She is reunited in heaven with her parents and siblings, Catherine Negron, Miguel Angel Negron, and Rogelio Negron, Jr. She leaves behind a family who adored her, including her devoted husband, Elliot Otero Figueroa; her loving siblings, Steven Negron, Raymond Negron, Becky (Ozzie) Mori, Elizabeth Negron, Deborah Negron, and George Negron; her dear cousins, Angelo (Mercedes) Lopez and David (Carmen) Lopez; and countless friends who were touched by her kindness.
Family and friends are invited to honor Ana’s life on Wednesday, February 12th, at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 1:00 PM. Ana will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens South, where her beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Ana’s love, warmth, and vibrant spirit will forever be remembered. Though she is gone, her legacy of love and kindness will remain in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
