Bertha Martinez De La Rosa, of Pembroke Pines, passed away peacefully at home a few days after her 98th birthday. She was born in Colombia, to the late Teodosio Martinez and Flor Romero. Survived by son, Mario De La Rosa and his wife, Patria; daughters, Berthy De La Rosa-Aponte and her husband, Milton, Diana De La Rosa-Miklic and her husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Samir Mashini, Alex Mashini, Milton Aponte, II and his wife, Geoconda, Diana E. Aponte-Rueda and her husband, Tomas, Luz Elena Aponte, Mario Camillo De La Rosa Rojas and Samir Mashini and his wife, Chanel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, 3-9 p.m. with Tributes of a Lifetime Service 7:00 p.m. at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, September 7, 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens (north).
