Betty J. Locke, December 26, 1925 – April 30, 2008
Locke, Betty J. born in Geneva, NY on December 26, 1925. Betty was the eldest of nine children, born to Bill and Helen Maher. Betty married Paul Locke, and moved to Hollywood, Florida in 1947 where she raised three sons: William, Thomas, and Robert. She was predeceased by her sons William and Robert.
Betty is survived by her son Thomas, daughter in-law Patricia, Grandson Christopher, Granddaughters Courtney, Shannon and Dawn, great-grand children Katelyn, Tanner, Jaden, Dylan, Jordan, and Dalton.
Betty worked for the Broward County Sheriff’s Department in the late 1950;s and moved to the Hollywood Police Department in the 1960’s where she began as a dispatcher and retired as the time keeper in the 1990’s.
Funeral Arrangements have been made at Boyd’s Family Funeral Home, 6400 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, Florida. A viewing will be from 2pm to 4pm with a tributes service beginning at 4:00pm on Saturday, May 3, 2008.
The family requests that any charitable donations go to the Youth Automotive Training Center YATC in Deerfield Beach, FL.

of losing someone so precious to you…
…but please remember that others care very much and wish your family strength and comfort at this sad time.
Betty was truly a lovely person with such a big heart. It was a pleasure to have worked with her and to have known her.
