February 01, 1994~December 04, 2018

It is with a broken heart that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved daughter, Brianne Ashley Stewart, affectionately called Bri Bri!  She was suddenly called home to be with her Maker on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at the tender age of 24 years, as she was blossoming into the peak bloom of her life. She was Beautiful, Resilient, Intelligent, Adventurous, Noble, Neoteric, Extra-ordinary!  Her humor and wit were unsurpassed and her love for life, delectable food, and dogs were undeniable and infectious.

Brianne is survived by her loving parents, Anthony and Elaine (Mitchell) Stewart; her adored siblings, Janique Stewart and Darren Stewart; her beloved grandmothers, Dorrett Stewart and Ervolin Mitchell; and countless family members and friends, whom she loved with every part of her being.  She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Samuel Stewart and Arthur “Squeeze or No Squeeze” Mitchell, whom she has reunited with in Heaven.

During her high school years, Brianne attended Pembroke Pines Charter School, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, in 2012, with highest honors in math, English and science.  She was the recipient of the Bright Futures Scholarship and Florida Medallion Scholars program, and was a member of the National Honor Society.  She previously attended the University of Central Florida, and currently attended Florida International University, where she majored in biomedical science in preparation for her quest to become a medical doctor.

As an amazing human being, Brianne was an avid volunteer and had amassed in excess of 1000 volunteer hours, which is an amazing feat.  She never allowed her lack of sleep, while working the graveyard shift, to impact her willingness to give so enthusiastically of her limited free time.  Her contribution to a multitude of worthy causes showed her focus and passion in life.

Bri, as she was referred to at work, was part of the PhysAssist family, where she worked as a medical scribe in the emergency department of Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida.  She was quickly promoted to head trainer within 8 months on the job, and less than a year later, she again received a promotion to chief scribe.  She was a strong leader with a heart of gold, and was respected and well-liked by the medical providers and her co-workers; they referred to her as the “glue” behind the Memorial Regional team.  She made an incredible impact on her team, the doctors she worked with, each patient that came into the hospital and every person that she came into contact with. The difference that she made in the lives of others is beyond measure, and she will be missed dearly.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024, on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where a direct tribute to Brianne will begin at 5:30 PM. Repast will follow at Cooper City Church of God until 10:00 PM.

Funeral services to celebrate the vibrance of Brianne’s life will be on Monday, December 17, 2018 starting at 10:00 AM, at Cooper City Church of God, 9191 Stirling Road, Cooper City, FL 33328.  The interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Repast will follow immediately after at Cooper City Church of God.

We would like to thank you for your support, words of encouragement, and prayers during this excruciatingly sad and difficult time.  She will always be our special baby girl and we appreciate you helping us to cherish her memory forever. Heaven has indisputably gained an angel!!!

I pray peace and comfort beyond anyone’s understanding during this most difficult period of your life. It might not be in this lifetime, but someday in eternal life you will find answers as to why your beautiful Brianne was taken to be with the Lord. Much love and blessings.

On behalf of Florida Youth Soccer Association and our entire coaching staff, I want to express our sympathy and condolence for your loss. I drove four hours to be at the Funeral and even though I have never met Brianne, I now know what made her so special and inspirational, unselfish and unique.

Ironically enough, I heard about this (today) through my dad who heard it from a friend of a friend at Memorial. My heart was crushed and I couldn’t believe it. Though I only knew Bri for a short time, it was so clear to see her passion for her goals and the things that she loved. It seems so surreal that she is no longer here. I remember when I last saw her and it literally seems like yesterday. I can see and hear her so vividly. My heart and prayers go out to her family and friends. I pray pray pray that she is in a better place.
