Bruce A. Bales passed away suddenly on October 25, 2004. He is survived by his loving wife Arline, two sons Kevin and Steven, his mother and father Lena and William Bales and his sister Leeann Thurston, and her husband Gary, along with uncles’ Fred Bales, Harry Smith, Jack Smith, Kelly Smith and aunt Erline Wilson and many special nephews and nieces. Bruce was born, July 6, 1956 in New Castle, Indiana. He moved to South Florida with his family in 1969. Bruce was a 1974 graduate of South Plantation High School and past president of the Greenback Surf Club of Ft. Lauderdale. Bruce was a successful, well respected yacht broker for over 23 years and was currently with Koch, Newton, & Partners. Bruce will be remembered as the greatest husband and family man one could ever know, both on land and water! His family was his top priority . Bruce touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all of his family, close friends and business associates. He will always be remembered!
