Carlos Cerrato, 81, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, peacefully passed away on May 20, 2024. Born on August 22, 1942, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, he was the cherished son of the late Maria Dolores Alvarenga and Juan Jose Cerrato.

Carlos’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and resilience. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Marta Cerrato, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge. His legacy continues through his children: German (Magali) Arita, Carlos (Patricia) Cerrato, Mario (Karen) Cerrato, Ana (Michael) Cerrato-Young, and Marta (Timothy) Cerrato. Carlos’s pride and joy were his grandchildren, each a shining light in his life: Ava Frank, Isabella Cerrato, Carlos Andres Cerrato, Maggie Arita, German Arita, Raquel Arita, Christina Cerrato, Gabriella Cerrato, Nicole Turcios, Abigail Cerrato, Noa Cerrato, Samantha Dawson, Jordan M. Young, Mya A. Young, Allison Petruna, Tyler Petruna, Ariel Petruna, Tristan Petruna, Madison Petruna, Emily Cruz, and Andres Humberto Cerrato and his God-Daughter, TracyAnn Valle.

Carlos’s journey was marked by a profound love for his family and an unwavering commitment to their happiness and well-being. His strength, wisdom, and kindness touched all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire and guide his loved ones.

A Memorial Service celebrating Carlos’s remarkable life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.
