CONNELL, Carmen R., age 94, a long-time resident of Hollywood, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in her hometown of Tunja, Colombia.

Carmen was born in 1930 in Tunja, Colombia, to the late George and Marta Saavedra.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Maurice Connell, and her brother, Milton Granados Saavedra.

She is survived by her devoted family: Milton Granados Castro, Henry Granados Castro, Carlos José Granados Castro, and Tom Pletz.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Little Flower Catholic Church. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service beginning at 1:30 PM. Carmen will then be laid to rest beside her husband at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery during the Urn Committal Service.

CONNELL, Carmen R., de 94 años, residente por muchos años en la ciudad de Hollywood, falleció pacíficamente el 23 de junio de 2025, rodeada del amor de su familia en su ciudad natal de Tunja, Colombia.

Carmen nació en 1930 en Tunja, Colombia, hija de los fallecidos George y Marta Saavedra.

Además de sus padres, le precedieron en la muerte su amado esposo, Maurice Connell, y su hermano, Milton Granados Saavedra.

Le sobreviven con cariño sus familiares: Milton Granados Castro, Henry Granados Castro, Carlos José Granados Castro y Tom Pletz.

La Misa Fúnebre se celebrará el viernes, 5 de septiembre de 2025, a las 11:30 AM en la Iglesia Católica Little Flower. Posteriormente, habrá una reunión de familiares y amigos en Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel, de 1:00 PM a 2:30 PM, con un servicio de Tributes of a Lifetime a la 1:30 PM. Carmen será sepultada junto a su esposo en el cementerio Hollywood Memorial Gardens durante el Servicio de Inhumación del Urna.
