I graduated from Cradock in 1957 and was dear friends with Carolyn for all the years since then.
I am deeply saddened by her death and her family has my deepest sympathy.
May she rest in eternal peace and be remembered for her lifetime of kindness.

My husband , Bob, brought me to meet his family. We stayed at Carol and Wilke’s home and they were so extremely warm, inviting and fun. After I married Bob, she became my sister-in-law, but better still ,she became one of my very best friends! We laughed together and cried together and enjoyed life. I remember the first Christmas I came With my family to their home. No one was home and the door was unlocked because she knew we were coming. Carol had the Christmas music playing , all the Christmas trees lit throughout the house. It was absolutely heartwarming. She wanted to make it special for us. It was so warm and inviting . She made it absolutely wonderful .That’s who Carol was! Carol, I will miss our laughter, the silly things we did, the cries we had together, and your extreme kindness. I love you and I will miss you.

As a colleague of Carolyn’s at MDC, I often heard first-hand what a wonderful teacher Carolyn was. Her students loved and respected her and felt loved and respected by her. As a part of the Sweet Tomatoes group, I experienced her warmth, kindness and generosity after we retired. She was one of the most loving people I have ever known. Her life has been a blessing to so many.

🏆. Professor. Carolyn Wright was one of the pioneers of Miami Dade Community College. She added distinction, wisdom, and compassion to everything she put her fingerprint on. Countless lives were touched by Professor Wright. She showed the path of teaching excellence to thousands of students. 👍
🍅After our retirements we lived close by and frequently met for lunch with other North Campus retirees. We called ourselves “The Sweet Tomatoes” because we met at the restaurant by that name. Recently, the name of the group shortened to “ The Sweets.”. Carolyn’s presence always lit up the room and thoughts of her now as God’s newest angel messenger, light up my heart and surely the hearts of many others.. She was a rare treasure…beautiful inside and out, Her virtues and powers guided many in her retirement days outside the MDCC classroom. Carolyn was a loyal volunteer for the LIVING. VALUES team. She shared research findings on being more effective parents and teachers, and always “walked the talk..”. Her example always served as a compass to point the way to living with more peace, love, and joy..
🌟Time to shine, Carolyn.🌟
Your life was divine
❤️Now your friends and family can continue to stream your pure love Into their lives and hearts and carry the torch of goodness into the world. 🎬

I’m so sorry to hear of Professor Wrights passing. I was one of her students at MDC and she inspired me in countless ways through her compassion and her character. She also continued to mentor me when I directed the preschool lab on campus as she was always there for me. She helped form me and many students and we went on to do good things for others. May she rest in peace. She will be missed. ❤️
