Carolyn Bingham, devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, age 82, of Davie, Florida, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, in Lake Worth, Florida. Carolyn was born June 17, 1942, to parents Howard and Emma (Wolff) Nash.
Carolyn devoted her life to the service of others. She worked for the Office of the Aging in Binghamton, NY, for over 30 years before moving to Davie, Florida, to help care for her elderly mother. Carolyn continued her assistance through her countless volunteer hours at her church. Carolyn was the first to offer a ride for those who needed one to a doctor’s appointment, the grocery store or church. Her dedication to others and meeting new people to befriend was boundless.
Carolyn, in her youth, was a spelling bee competitor. She loved crosswords, coloring, bowling, dancing, swimming, singing in the choir and being with her friends and family. She absolutely adored spending time with her grandchildren. When Carolyn was home, she would relax by watching her favorite game shows and/or reading one of her romance novels.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Stuart “Stu” Nash. She is survived by daughters: Virginia Barley-Brabham and husband Joseph Brabham; June Bingham and partner Elyse Caldwell; grandchildren: Emma Torres; Megan Muir and husband Austin Maxwell Groeger; niece Kerri Plowman and husband Willy Plowman.

Carolyn’s life will be honored on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Miramar United Methodist Church, 2507 Utopia Drive, Miramar, Florida 33023.

A Memorial Gathering will be at 10:00 AM, with a Memorial Ceremony at 11:00 AM, with a Repast to follow.

Carolyn’s wishes were for everyone attending to wear her favorite color, red. No black attire, please.

A private family burial at sea will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, Carolyn wished to have donations made to one of her favorite charities:

I was honored to meet Carolyn at our mutual Church in Davie. She and her family became dear friends to the point where Roy & I were asked to be Parents to her granddaughter Megan.. Being associated with such a loving, outgoing & giving family been an honor that has blessed me each & every day. I shall miss sI arong with my friend Carolyng just to get her riked then laughing over tge teasing. I shall gladly honor her by wearing red as we gather together remembering her & praising God for life she blessed each of us with.
