Christina “Chrissy” Beck

Chrissy Beck, 57, of Hollywood, FL, bid farewell to this life to join her father and sister in Heaven on Oct. 23, 2019.

Born on Sept. 26, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, Chrissy was the fun-loving middle child of seven of Robert and Norma Beck. With her intelligence and hard-working nature, Chrissy had a career after high school that included attending ACT travel school and corporate management roles in various industries.

In the 1980s, Chrissy bid farewell to life in the colder climate of Missouri and headed to Florida. A true Floridian to the end, Chrissy loved the beach, boating, parasailing, taking her dogs to the Rickenbacker Causeway with her boyfriend Jerry Gordils, the Florida sun, her shorts and flip flops, and drinking at the Tiki Bar in the Keys.

While her life on Earth was marked by obstacles and cut short, Chrissy was one of the strongest willed women out there. She persevered and lived each day full of fun and with fierce love and loyalty for those closest to her. In addition to being a mother and girlfriend, Chrissy loved being Special Grandma and grandmother to five as well as a member of large and loud extended family.

She will be forever remembered and loved by her children, Amanda Lubinski, Tara Garcia and husband Rudy, and Tyler Williams; mother, Norma Beck; brother, Robert “Cook” Beck and wife MaryLou; brother, Randy Beck; brother, Anthony Beck and wife Angela; brother, Michael Beck and wife Debbie; and sister, Tammy Williams and husband Dan; grandchildren, Aden Garcia, Aubrey Garcia, Tyler Williams Jr., Darla Williams and Luis Williams; along with a long list of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Beck; and sister, Dana Adkins.

A beach party to celebrate her life will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the large Charnow Park pavilion next to the paddleball courts at Garfield Street on Hollywood Beach.

Being cremated, her remains will be spread at some of her favorite beach areas at a later date. Her remains will also be spread alongside her sister and father at her mother’s home in Missouri, where a tree will be planted, allowing Chrissy to continue to grow and watch over her family as she wished. A private family celebration will also be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to a reputable charity that sustains America’s beaches.
