Christina Colby Weinke

Born April 8, 1991 in Madison, Wisconsin. After a battle with acute myeloid leukemia on December 5, 2024, Christina lost her battle. Christina lived with her father, mother and brother in Cooper City, Florida. Christina worked 16 years at Longhorns Steakhouse as a prep cook. She loved her job and the people she worked with. Christina took great pride in her work. Christina had a way of making life beautiful in the simplest, most genuine ways. She loved deeply, lived fully and embraced all the things that made her happy, her love for cats, her obsession with nachos and sushi and her endless enthusiasm for horror movies, no matter how scary or ridiculous they were.

She was kind, gentle, creative and fiercely loyal. Her artistic spirit shone in every painting she created, every thoughtful gift she gave and every heart felt message she left behind. Christina taught us so much how to be patient, how to see the world through a new lens, how to fight for what matters and how to be present in each moment.

Christina’s parents are Jeffery and Sandra Weinke, brother Joshua Wartzok (Anca) , sister Ella Meyer (Jerod) and brother Robert Weinke (Ali). Christina was an Aunt to PJ, Lyla, Ayla, Damian, Ian, Jaxson and Finley. Grandmother Ellen Wartzok, Aunt and Uncles Melody Walsh (Randy), Julie Wartzok, Oscar Wartzok (Betsy), Peggy Brown (Jimmy), Heather Miller (Jason) and many cousins. Christina is preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents Judith and Robert (Bob) Weinke, Maternal Grandfather Ivan Wartzok.

Arrangements entrusted to Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care.

The world lost a bright sunbeam with her passing. She always had a smile that brightened her surroundings wherever she went. I can’t remember a time she wasn’t smiling. Such a loving soul will certainly be missed by many people, me included. I know NANA has her under her wing now too. Gods blessings to her entire family and may HE bring strength and peace to mom, dad, and family .

She was the epitome of being happy & loving. The sweetest person I’ve ever met. I’ll forever cherish the memories made especially the ones on Fortnite & going to see the Brewers play baseball. Her presence alone brightened everyone who was around her. This world would be a better place if more people were like Christina.

Prayers to the Weinke family.
