Christopher Paul Kerr, 53, of Pembroke Pines, Florida passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his brothers and sister on August, 14, 2021.
He was born on June 22, 1968 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica. He was the ninth child for his parents Joseph Emanuel and Leonie Adella Kerr who predeceased him in 2000 and 2014 respectively. He is survived by his brothers- Dennis, Raphael, Jonathan, Joseph Jnr., Richard, sisters- Yvonne, Sonia, Mechel, and Simone, sisters- in-law Valerie, Carmen, Carlene, Natasha, Joan, brother- in- law Russell, nieces, nephews, Aunts Dawn and Lily, Uncles Lorenzo and Paul, cousins and godchildren.
He started his early education at Blake’s and Vaz Preparatory Schools. He passed his Common Entrance Examination for one of Jamaica’s premier high schools, Calabar. After high school he immigrated to New York inthe mid 1980’s. While in New York, he continued his education by attending Grumman Data Systems Institute in Woodbury, New York where his passion for computers was developed. He worked at Winfred M. Berg, Inc., manufacturer of precision mechanical components. He later worked for the accounting firm Grodsky, Capporino & Kauffman LLP in Great Neck, New York spearheading their IT department until April 1993 when he moved to Pembroke Pines, Florida. He worked for accounting firms Goldstein Schecter Price Lucas & Horowitz in Coral Gables, Florida and BDO Seidman LLP in downtown Miami. He continued his education at Barry University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology. He left BDO to start his own IT consulting company Premier Technology Solutions Inc. and later Karitek Group Inc. As an independent consultant, he traveled to the Phillipines, Ecuador, Antigua, Jamaica and extensively throughout Florida and the southern United States servicing clients across many industries including banking, education, healthcare, shipping, waste management and business and technology development. He was comfortable in the boardroom spearheading mega deals with C.E.Os of Fortune 500 companies, or with a housewife who had one computer and didn’t know how to turn it on. In both instances he would tell the end users “embrace the technology; technology is your friend.”
Chris was the most caring, kindest, warmest, funniest, helpful and thorough person who was always willing to go the extra mile for a friend or even a friend of a friend. He lived life passionately and loved God wholeheartedly. We will miss him but live in faith that we will see him again.
The family request cheerful colors be worn instead of traditional funeral colors.
Prayer Service to be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.
Followed by Graveside Service at Forest Lawn South Cemetery, 2401 SW 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33317.

Hi Family,
So sorry I’m not there to be with you all during this time, (I won’t say of grief), because Chris is happily sitting in the arms of Jesus and with so many of his other family members having a fabulous time looking lovingly down on us all.
I will say, let’s continue to stay strong, in the faith, loving, supporting and nurturing each other as he would want us all to do
