Cluvie Peltrop, daughter of Melita Dumond, was born in La Colline Aquin, Haiti. On June 24th , 2021, she passed away at the age of 59. Cluvie is survived by two sons. Their names were Jean Gardy Joseph and Michel Jean Louis.

She was born into a family of 5, raised by a single parent household in Haiti, and journeyed to the USA, and earned a High School Diploma. From her era, coming to the United States and obtaining a high school diploma was considered to be something amazing. Additionally, she was able to complete a training program from Mount Sinai Hospital School of Continuing Education in Nursing to become a Patient Care Technician. For some people, she can be considered as a symbol of hope simply because of where she came from.

In her younger years, she worked as a Manicurist and as a Hairstylist. Her drive for working hard was her two sons and her extended family. She was their cornerstone and there’s almost nothing that she wouldn’t do for them.

Not only was Cluvie a cornerstone for her family but for others as well. Cluvie helped to support numerous children and adults by paying for their education, providing food, shoes, and clothing through the Les Filst De Zaccai International Ministries’ Charitable Organization which she helped to found in November of 2015. The headquarters is located in the United States, but it has multiple branches in Haiti from La Colline Aquin, Delmas, Carrefour, and Côtes-de-Fer. Cluvie had a heart for giving and she showed it on a larger scale by extending a helping hand outside of her family through this organization.

Cluvie was employed at Mount Sinai for 19 years. Thirteen of those years, she worked in the Environmental Science Department. After having surgery, she transferred into the Nursing Department and worked her remaining years. By April 1st 2020, she was forced into early retirement due to health complications.

A Public Visitation is scheduled for 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM with a Religious Service starting at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Boyd Panciera Funeral Home located in 6400 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, Florida 33024.
