Curt “Curtis” Moudry lived 56 years full of love. He was born in Decorah, Iowa on May 26, 1967. He graduated from South Winn High School, Calmar, Iowa. He then received his bachelors degree at Iowa State University. After moving to Louisville, Kentucky he continued his education and earned his masters degree. He was very active in the Rugby community and played for many years. He was owner/operator of his own business for over 20 years. Curtis resided in Florida for the last few years of his life. Heaven called him home on October 6, 2023.
He will now be reunited with those who preceded him: his father, Ron Moudry and his brother Alan Moudry. His story lives on in the hearts of his two children: Catia and Victor; his mother, Colleen, his former spouse, Elizabeth, his cats: Louisville and Izzy and his many, many friends and family.
His children were his everything and he loved them more than anything. His role as father was his
number one love. Curtis enjoyed music, the Beatles were his favorite, watching and playing sports (Iowa State University and University of Louisville, in that order), spending time with friends, learning new things, cooking, and sharing his interests with others. He will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help anyone in need, especially if your slid off the road when there was sleet or snow. He would drive around with friends to help those in need at that time. He was quick witted and had a great sense of humor. He will be missed dearly.
The family will hold a private service.

My sincere condolences to Curt’s mom, Colleen and his family. Curt’s family grew up just down the street from us in Calmar Iowa. He was a good friend of my brother Dave’s and they were classmates.
He was always smiling and a jokester. So many great memories.
They rode their bikes together all summer long, neighborhood baseball games, hide and seek and playing outside until the porch lights were turned on …
and it was time to go home.
God bless you Curt 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼
