In loving memory of Daniel Roger Poncé (January 5, 1964 – February 25, 2019)
Daniel Roger Poncé a.k.a “Danny,” went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the age of 55.
Daniel Roger Poncé, known to be a man of integrity, was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He had a love for life, high family values and strong work ethics instilled by his parents, Manuel Evangelista and Mildred Louellen (Brown) Poncé. Known for his generous heart, Danny was a faithful companion, had an unbelievable love for animals; was kind and compassionate, and always encouraging to others.
On April 29, 2006, Danny married the love of his life Milagros a.k.a “Millie,” and together blended their families establishing a large household of six children and eight grandchildren who brought the utmost joy to his life. He was a man of many accomplishments; to name a few, he coached little league baseball, produced a complete instructional manual to assist drivers in obtaining their Commercial Driver’s License using his extensive knowledge of the laws of Florida Department of Transportation; established his own business (DOT Compliance, Inc.) and was certified by the State of Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles as a Third Party Examiner.
Daniel Roger Poncé is survived by his loving wife Millie; beloved kids: Erika, Benito, Daniel Jr., Natalie, Derek and Dylan; his grand-kids, Erik, Wendy, Mya, Benito Jr., Jonathan, David, Ezmae and Alice; his siblings: Margie, Tony, Alex, Joseph, Jorge, Edward, Edelia and Luis; fur babies: Cats: Pookie, Molly, Dolly, Sissy and Astray; and Dogs: Cookie, Jane, Tico, Sandy and Lucky.
An angel has gained his wings and will always be remembered by family, many friends and students who were blessed to have had him in their lives.

My teacher, my coworker, my mentor, and my friend. I sit here and look over to your desk where we sat side by side these last 4 years. Where we worked hard for our students. Where we told stories of our lives. Where we took care of all those stray cats. Where you sang those horrible trucker songs. I want to thank you, you gave me more than I could ever express. I will miss you. Millie, yours and Danny’s friendship theses 12 years I will treasure forever. His love of animals was only topped by his love of you. We spoke often about our lives…you gave him great comfort and joy. God bless you and your family.

Danny you fought a great fight all the way to the end and encouraged many people in your path and also guided them to the best of your abilities and in that path passed on some of your wisdom onto others that greatly appreciated and with all your ailments you always woke up early in the morning to head out to work to help keep the household rolling like the machine you was never complaint and sooner or later accomplished what you set out to do or needed done may you rest in peace my great brother in law and my condolence go out to the family and may they always keep the reflection of the flame going.PEACE

Danny, you will be remembered. From the first time I met you at a small brunch spot in Miami Lakes almost 25 years ago, until the last time we spoke a week before your passing, you have always been a large figure in my life. I will remember you as the toughest and most hard working man I have ever known. And I will also remember you for your kindness, compassion, and dedication. Godspeed good friend.
