In Loving Memory
David Kennedy Alberga
December 19, 1963 – November 9, 2025

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, David Kennedy Alberga, who departed this life on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 4:30 a.m.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, David later made the United States his home. A man of quiet strength, he lived life on his own terms—independent, hardworking, and devoted to the things he loved most.David loved sports, especially soccer, track and field, and auto racing, and had a special love for the ocean. Above all, his greatest passion was trucking. He found peace and purpose on the open road, traveling across the country in his truck and embracing the freedom it brought him.
After bravely battling illness for many years, David passed away peacefully that morning. He is survived and deeply missed by his mother, father, two sisters, brother, and a wide circle of relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), a nonprofit dedicated to disaster relief and community rebuilding (Jamaica). Donations can be made at www.globalempowermentmission.org.
May his soul find eternal rest and peace.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, December 3rd, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM with Tributes of a Lifetime Service at 7:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel.

My condolences to the family. I’m deeply saddened by this as well. David (Bergs) was a good friend of mine as we worked together at Shred-it many years ago. We both had great cars at the time and would often hang out and talk with our close co-workers for hours. He had a red Toyota MR-2 and then a black mustang after that, which he let me drive a day after he bought it! He was such a kind man and I know he’s in a better place now. God bless him and the loved ones he left behind.

My Condolences rest with his family at the time of this loss. We grew up as young men at Jamaica College and learned the ropes of life at that institution, we shared a connection that lasted throughout the years and although we were not in constant communication, the brotherhood existed across the years. Sleep in Peace Blood!!

David Alberga was my best friend from the early 1980s. I remember we met for the first time at Island Car rentals. He was a sales rep and whilst we worked together I realized that David was a jovial man. His jokes would transcend to everyone in the office which left a pleasant atmosphere, whilst we worked.
I admired how disciplined and industrious he was. David was a lover of fast cars, and we both decided to buy ourselves a mark 1 Ford escort and on few occasions you could find us racing them and having a blast.
David was a man that was always ready to help and was very kindhearted. I remember around 1991, David accompanied me to Florida assisting me to purchase my very first tow truck. We drove up and down for 2 weeks searching for a truck and I could not have asked for a better friend to help me with that process.
He was a man that love trucking, he would always give me stories about his journeys across the US.
David was a blessing to my family. He was always checking on my family and providing any sort of assistance where I or my family needed. This caring personality made him fit to be my daughter’s godfather.
His personality made him easy to be around illuminating any room with a smile. He was always respectful and even when life was knocking him left and right he never complained.
I cherished our years spent together. Thank God, the memories of us I will keep dear to my heart. David who was my confidant, my brother, my father and my wonderful friend, he will be surely missed. I express my heartfelt condolences and gratitude to his family that was always supportive of us. I pray for continuous blessings for his family Love always.

Deepest condolences to uncle Erdley, aunt blossom, Linda and pinks Alberga on this devastating loss. The Bible foretells of a time where man’s greatest enemy death will be brought to nothing and there will be no more pain or suffering. Revelation 21:4 . It also promises of a resurrection for those that are asleep in death . John 5:28,29 looking forward to seeing David once again . Praying for strength and comfort during this difficult time.
