To our beloved Donna Krehmeyer known to us as “Mrs Krehmeyer”,
I am the youngest of four brothers blessed to have been your student and honored to be among your friends. My brothers Peter, Greg, George, and myself Mark loved you as a teacher and remember you throughout our lives. We had many teachers in our lives but none so memorable as you. You had touched our minds and influenced our family in a very positive way. We are all in our 50’s now and still share common stories about our “Mrs. Krehmeyer”. And the striking irony is that none of us ever reflect upon any other teacher by name or otherwise. “Mrs. Krehmeyer” was a model of what the educational system should immulate and seek. She was caring, helpful, and motivating to each student like they were all her children. We send our love and thanks to the family for sharing her with us. We love and miss you dearly. May her memory be eternal.
With Much Love,
The Pappas Brothers

I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Krehmeyer as my third grade teacher in 1984, and it was by far the best year I ever had in school. I remember thinking of her as my grandmother in a way, as she reminded me of one of my grandmothers. Oddly enough, they both passed away a couple of months apart, and were the same age. She made learning fun and treated me like a member of her family. If only all of my teachers had been as devoted and caring as she was. I am sure she is dearly missed by everyone who knew her, especially her family. I will never forget her.
