Eddie you were the best when it came to taking care of people and taking care of me. You were one of the best taking care of the Homeless at my shelters. You did not care if you got paid to see a homeless person at my shelter. You took care of them all the same. Every day I waited for you to come up to my office giving me a few minutes of peace and normality. I have missed those meetings. You always took my mind off of the shelter and the stress of me being here 20 hours a day. Eddie may the Lord give you a first class ticket to heaven. When you get there say Hi to Lois and John John for me. Love you big guy.

I first met Eddie around 1982 at Memorial Regional Hospital. I was an R.N. on the oncology unit. Eddie always had a great smile and put patients at ease.Always helpful and never complained. Lots of laughs when all of us would gather after work at Ricky’s for steamers and wings. I’m sure Eddie brought much joy to many and gave great nursing care to all he encountered and love and caring to his family. Although I have not seen Eddie since 1984 when he was here at our home for a housewarming,I am very sad to hear of his passing. Let us carry Eddie’s spirit in spreading kindness, laughter and light while appreciating and enjoying each minute of this life. My condolences to all and wishes for comfort and peace.

Eddie was not only my cousin but my first friend. I will always remember the good times we had in Camden growing up and the times we spent in Florida with him, Steve and the Baird family. Family is everything. Although his life was short, he lived life in the moment and to honor him, I will try to do the same. I will miss you cuz, however I know you are in a far better place than we are with your brother Steve and Uncle Jim. I love you and know we will all be together again one day. Love you always, Your cousin Jo.

To my cousin Eddie, We grew up together in our hometown Camden,NJ. Although I don’t remember much,we always seemed like one big family.I only remember Mr.Softee, the icecream truckcoming down our street, and all the Baird children would gather round. It was only up until a few years ago,the night you invited us over, that we had a heart to heart on the beach. You had comforted me in Steven, and reassured me that he was at peace. Thank-you for that night, and always taking care of us when we visited. We may never understand God’s will, but I believe he has something far more greater in store for us.We have to believe that!Uncle Jim and Stevie are waiting for you! God Bless my precious Uncle Ed and Aunt Elaine, the Baird family, and Elizabeth who is truly a angel! We will miss you Cuz! Our hearts are broken!Until we meet again RIP XXOO

Ed always lit up the room when he walked in. I had the pleasure to share our children’s accomplishments as they are close in age. One of my fondest moments was when I shared the video of my daughter riding her bike alone for the first time. He was such a compassionate and caring man. I am blessed to have known him and he will be missed.

I have so many memories of my brother Eddie, from playing as kids up in New Jersey with our cousins and friends, sledding at the Enchanted Forest and all the Family holidays we had. We may not of had a lot of money but we had great times together. As we got older we didn’t live as close as we would have liked, but the times we did all get together were wonderful times and memories I’ll never forget. I’ll miss the conversations that we had over the years and the heartfelt times we spent together. Eddie enjoyed every moment of life he could, and maybe we should all grab every moment we can to enjoy ours and the people in it. I hope now he is full of peace and serenity, and that Eddie and our brother Steve are fishing together in a big boat, with the sun shining down on them, some Jimmy buffet playing in the background, knowing how very much we love and miss them both.

Although its been more than a few years since I’ve seen Ed. I have many great memories from the 20+ years that we were friends. From working as x-ray transporters to becoming parents ourselves. Sitting on our surfboards convincing ourselves that the next set will be the BIG one! Not realizing Hollywood doesn’t really get big waves. I remember driving around town in Eds’ old gremlin all pimped out as a surf mobile. Spending many nights after our 3-11 shift with George, Ron and myself watching Magnum P.I.. Lobstering and coming up and realizing our boat broke its mooring and swimming a 100yds with our lobsters to get it. Our group had good times together and Ed will be surely missed. My condolences to his parents Norma and Ed Sr, and his sister Kim.

Ed I will see you again my friend. HSA was a blast with our group. We rarely spoke after McArthur and that was a shame. Drifting apart I often wondered and asked friends about you. Hoped to see you at the 35 year reunion to catch up. Big heart, wonderful friend. We will hang out again some day. RIP Mustang RIP
