Eileen Eleisa Belnavis Young passed at her home on December 6, 2021. She is survived by sons Albert, Rory and Devon; sisters Claudette, Joanne and Dorothy; brothers Gerald, Delroy, Donovan and Orville; grandchildren Jordan, Savannah and Brandon; great grandchildren Ethan and Carter; devoted niece Maxine; beloved sister-in-law Doreen; loyal and friend par excellence, Fay; a host of relatives and extended family, friends, and all the “kids” she mothered during her lifetime.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Ronald Young and brother Glen.
Eileen was born September 2, 1937 in St. Mary, Jamaica to Beulah Willock and Gerald Belnavis, and migrated to the U.S. in the ‘60s. New York was her first home and Florida her second. She pursued careers in cosmetology and nursing. With her “big heart”, giving, nurturing, loving and caring nature, she excelled in nursing. She was an “all-rounder” (term from the game of Cricket).
Also affectionately known as Mother, Mum, Aunt Blossom, Ms. B, Eileen epitomized “to be young at heart” and always wore a smile that lit up every room. She loved Family, entertaining, dancing, gardening (orchids especially), shopping (the ultimate “Fashionista!”) and enjoyed life to the fullest! To know her was to love her…and be a better you. Unforgettable…
Visitation to be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, with Tributes of a Lifetime and Prayer Service at 11:00 AM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.

My dear auntie Blossom,
You were a woman of grace, love, and fearless. I always admired you even when I was little. You never forgot to call me on my birthday’s, you always gave the best gifts. Even when I went off to college and lost touch with you for a minute I found my way to you and wanted to always see you every year. I’m grateful I was able to spend the past couple years with you and enjoy talking to you every time. Even the last time I came to visit and I had a fever. I was back better the next day.
I cherish our moments together and one day we’ll make plenty more. I’m pretty sure you are slapping your brother on the head right now. Go easy on him. lol
