I was so sad to hear this news. Like many others, I too worked with Eddy at Coulter, and we all seem to share similar views: Eddy was a hard working, dedicated, thoughtful and respectful man, who garnered the respect of all who met him. His work was always directed towards attaining the highest standards of care for those who relied on our medical products, and I know firsthand that he was successful at making a difference in his vigorous but always courteous and professional efforts. I am proud to say I worked with him, and that he impacted me, as he did so many others, in a positive way.

To Eddy Laroche’s family: I cannot express my shock and sadness when I heard the news of my friend Eddy’s sudden passing away. I knew Eddy very well over my 15 years at Beckman Coulter. He was my golf partner and my tennis partner. Knew his children and wife. We will truly miss an unbelievable personality. Some one who was very genuine and also spoke his mind without worrying about political correctness. A very strong family person with the highest virtues. I will be missing him a lot but he will remain close to my heart. Due to my business travels, I could not attend the viewing in person. But my thoughts and prayers will always be there. Elie Eddy’s passing came like a swift wind which brings to mind two old adages to reflect on. "Life is short." & "L’homme propose, Dieu dispose." ("Man proposes and God disposes.") We are deeply saddened by his loss and extend our most sincere condolences to his immediate and extended family. May his soul rest in peace!
