Elvin “Pito” Alicea, an entrepreneur, small business owner, softball enthusiast, father, son and brother, passed away unexpectedly on November 24th, 2025, at the age of 50.
Elvin was born on November 2, 1975, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to Ervin Alicea and Margarita Otero.
He spent his childhood in Puerto Rico and the Bronx, NY, and moved to South Florida as a young adult. Over the years, he maintained solid friendships and family relationships. Elvin was an avid baseball and softball player. He was a leader and a mentor to many in the game alongside managing his own business. Elvin enjoyed traveling with friends and spending quality time with this family, especially his son.
Elvin is survived by his father, Ervin Alicea, his son, Dominique Alicea, his siblings, Mary, Janet, Luis, Miriam, Andres and Sarah, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a Large extended family. He has gone to be with the Lord alongside his Mother Margarita and sister, Alexa.
A memorial service is scheduled from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM with a Tributes of a Lifetime Service starting at 3:00 PM on December 5th, 2025, at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, located at 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024.
Pastor Enrique Santiago will officiate with family and friends, sharing in his memory.

Tio pito was the most kind hearted and loved person i’ve ever known. He always gave me great advice. I’m so blessed to have known such an amazing person and be so lucky for him to be my family. I’ll love and miss you forever my angel.
