He was my mentor, my friend. Much of the happiness in my life this past decade would have never occured had it not been for Erwin. Its amazing in life how great men are taken from us so soon. But I know he is in heaven, and is God’s physician now. I love you Dr. Vasquez-RIP. Brandon Scibilia.

My heart hurts. I am truly saddened by the loss of Dr Vasquez. It’s true, only the good die young! It was so difficult when I had to tell him I was moving to Georgia in Oct 2008. Being him, he told me if I needed anything, anything at all, I was to call and I knew he meant it. That gave me comfort! My thoughts and prayers are with you. Met Dr. V back in the 1980’s – when he “discovered” me at North Ridge…and he CHANGED my life!! I became the “Hispanic Affairs” person…because he encouraged and gave me all his support.
