I worked for Gene in the early 1990s and again in 2001, I am stunned to receive this news. Gene was a fair man if a little loud sometimes – he always respected me and treated me well, tried to be tough as a boss but inside he had a heart of gold. I send my love to Sylvia and the children. Shocked that a friend is no more. I send my respect to his brother Steve.
