Dear Frank …thanks for all the wonderful personal dining memories with Erle Chuck and You. And for taking the heat for my tiny transgressions when you were my supervisory Engineer. Also the wonderful letter of reference that you wrote that Former Supervisory Engineer Erle Peterson called a work of masterful work of fiction… you are missed …

I had the privilege of meeting Frank at several meetings in Washington DC. Frank was invited because of his expertise and experience in hazard mitigation. His passion for mitigation, especially getting the private sector involved, is a model for communities across the country. I learned a great deal from him. The field of hazard mitigation has lost a bright, shining star.

I’ve known Alan for over 25 years and had the pleasure of meeting his father on many occasions. He was always kind , thoughtful and caring of everyone. A Mother and Father are ultimately judged by how their children are raised and turn out. I know Alan and Jen are fantastic people, with big hearts and genuine love for their families and friends. I know Frank and Carol were and are very proud, and Frank will continue to look down with pride at his family.

God Bless and my family’s condolences and prayers are with all of Frank’s family.

Miami-Dade County 311 loved Frank; we were fortunate enough to be blessed with his caring for our staff when it was not the cool thing to do. We will remember how he always wanted to give the 311 team what we needed to do our work. Your dedication to making a difference will live in our hearts forever. We only hope we can always approach life with the passion you had for our organization. On a personal note, dear family you remain in my prayers and in my thoughts; we are better people because Frank was in our lives.

Jenn, Alan and family,

As luck would have it for Mari-Jo & our family, Frank came into our lives all those years ago.

A man who set the bar high for those who came in contact with him. A man who knew facts, and not just the 1st place facts, he knew the 2nd place facts as well. During the early years that I knew him I would call him Frank Fact & he and Mari-Jo would grin from ear to ear.

I loved his sense of humor, his ability not to pass judgement on anyone and his desire to really do the best at whatever he set his mind to do. Most of all I loved him for how he loved Mari-Jo through her life, but most of all in her final years, not all that long ago.

I believe that they are again together. They are on a Cruise, sailing into a beautiful sunrise, where they can look from the bow of the ship and watch our lives progress, until the day that we join them at a port yet determined.

All our Love,

Jane & Kurt

My sincere condolences to Frank’s family, friends and co-workers. I had the pleasure of meeeting him just this year when our company joined the business continuity group he led.

He was very welcoming, had a wonderful attitude and was not only a pleasure to work with but also a kind, sweet man that I could tell truly loved what he did.

On our first meeting he took some time to show us around the office and he was so proud of all that they had accomplished.

I’m very happy I had an opportunity to meet him, I just wish I would have met him sooner.

My best wishes to Frank’s Children may you comfort each other in your sorrow and rejoice in his memory.

I only met Frank about 6 months ago at the Miami Dade EOC. He was such a passionate and smart man but kept it all inside of a humble character that gave him an instant connection with those around him. The first time I met him, I was impressed to discover all he had done for the county but he seem to be more of a proud parent than a loyal employee. Even in the brief time I knew him, I can say he will be greatly missed. I wish I was able to have known him longer. My family sends our condolences and lasting memories for eternity. – Helene

Frank was frank! He was honest in every sense of the word. I am a part of tne Emergency Management community, where Frank was one of the foundation stones. I could always count on Frank being frank about any issue, and he was never with holding with advice. And although it may not have seemed like it to me at the time I got the advise, I always learned from it, and it made me a better Team Member. HE made me a better Team Member!!! I will miss Frank more than I thought possible.

It was a wonderful service. I am glad I was there for the lighting of the candeles. May your Greif candle burn out first, may your Courage candle burn bright, may your memory candle continuoiusly flicker, may you know that your love candle will never burn out, and may your hope candle always shine in your heart.

I am blessed to have had Frank in my path.

A true renaissance man, Frank possessed one the most beautiful minds I’ve ever met. In one way or another Frank had the opportunity to touch all 2.5 million lives in Miami-Dade County through his relentless mission of hazard mitigation amongst other communities he served. I will forever cherish his friendship every time I order a corned beef sandwich, sip fine single malt whiskey and eat chocolate-mint Girl Scout cookies.

I miss you my friend…
