Geoffrey Hamilton, 73, of Hollywood, Florida passed away at home on June 14, 2022 due to
complications related to Parkinson’s Disease. Geoff was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in
Plantation, Florida where he was a member of the Sea Scouts and attended Plantation High School
graduating in 1967. Geoff was proud of his Native American heritage as a member of the Penobscot
Tribe and loved spending summers on Indian Island in Old Town, Maine.
Geoff served in the Navy as a cook on a nuclear submarine during the Vietnam War era. Geoff always
liked to joke that no one ever messed with the cook on a ship. He became a communications engineer
working at radio stations in Broward County and later at worked at Raytheon in Manchester, NH. He
retired from the Manchester, New Hampshire Fire Department where he worked for eleven years at as
an Electronics Systems Tech (EST) and was a proud member of IAFF Local 856. Geoff continued to work
part-time in retirement for the East Greenbush New York School District.
Geoff worked on various political campaigns including Bill Clinton’s successful presidential campaign in
1992. His love of politics and unions led him to meet his wife Patti who became his travel partner and
favorite fishing fanatic. Geoff treasured the time he and Patti lived on their boat in Baltimore that they
christened “Livin the Dream”.
When not on the water or fishing, Geoff enjoyed watching his beloved Miami Dolphins and his favorite
baseball team – the Boston Red Sox. He cherished time he shared with his children and grandchildren
who live in New Hampshire. He especially loved to camp, hike, golf and ride roller coasters with his
children.
Anyone who knew Geoff was touched by his generosity and kindness and will recall his sarcastic sense of
humor, and commitment to making a difference in the world.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Patricia (Patti) Lippold, his son Sean Hamilton and his wife
Debbie, his daughters Jennifer Azibert, and Stacy Ryan and his five grandchildren Brittany Hamilton, Alex
Hamilton, Samantha Hamilton, Michael Azibert and Charleigh Bourget and his sister Marcia Hamilton.
His mother Ann Robinson and his father Robert L. Hamilton and ex-wife Nancy Hamilton precede him in
death.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a future date.

Rest In Peace Geoff, loved our time staying on your boat in Baltimore! Coming down to Miami!!
Loved your cooking too!
One of my favorite moments was the day you and Patti took us to have crabs!
When they brought it to the table it was a huge pile of them! I looked at you and said what! He said dig in. This is how you do it. Cracked crab was flying through the Reastraunt, love you, bless you, Rest In Peace my brother!
Love Joanie and Paul

Pat I know things are rough now but they will get better. Think about all those wonderful times you guys had together. He was a great guy and took real good care of you as you did of him. I will miss his sense of humor and the way he used to tease me. I hope he finds Eddie and Jean right away. Love you sis

I miss you, my brother. I didn’t get to see you as much as I would have liked to, but you were always in my thoughts. What I want to say is how kind you were. All the animals loved you, which is usually a very good sign of a person’t character. I miss you and I know Mum was there to help you to the other side and that since you’re in Heaven, all of your wants and wishes are met.. Please remember to thank God for your calm and gentle passing and know that Patti is doing her best and that she has friends here to help her. I know God has blessed you and I’m very proud of you. Love forever.
