George J. Shelby, age 90, of Weston, Florida, passed away October 8, 2020. He was born on June 21, 1930 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to his proud parents, the late Julius and Anna Shelby. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Heiskell.
He was a devoted husband and a caring and loving father. Survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Suzan M. Shelby, his son, George L. Shelby; daughter, Natalie Van Wagner; grandchildren, George L. Shelby, Jr. and Christopher S. Shelby; and great-grandchildren, Madison, Cameron, Samantha and Ashlyn.
George led a full life, traveling throughout the world while always maintaining a positive attitude. He was a proud United States Air Force veteran who proudly served this country, enlisted and civilian for 34 years of faithful and dedicated federal service. As an Aircraft Mechanic, he was able to use this experience to provide for his family by holding additional positions throughout the aviation community.
Visitation will take place on Friday, October 16th, from 10:00 – 11:15 AM with Tributes of a Lifetime and Military Honor Guard Service at 10:30 AM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel. Funeral Mass will follow at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Private Inurnment will take place at a future date at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery.

George was such a beautiful soul, friend and neighbor. What a wonderful photo album tribute to George reflecting all the love and life he shared. He will be greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers are with Sue, George, Natalie and the family. May the many years of memories and blessings help you heal through this difficult time.
