McCoy, George W., 84, passed away Friday, Sept., 13, 2013 at his home in Southwest Ranches, FL. Born in Warrenton, GA. He was the husband of Ruth Peeler McCoy for 61 years, and son of the late Eula Clyde and George W. McCoy. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean War, a retired Bridge Supervisor for Capeletti Bros. of Hialeah, FL. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Frank Edward Mary, Timothy and Douglas Patty of Ft. Lauderdale, one daughter, Martha McCoy of Orlando, FL, one grandson, Dr. William McCoy Liz of Tampa, FL, two granddaughters, Jennifer Frank and Tiffani McCoy of Ft. Lauderdale, six great-grandchildren and one sister, Patsy Jeff Ferqueron of Mt. Airy, GA, He was preceded in death by four brothers, Henry, Frank Edward, Roland and Calvin Mack, one sister, Evie Lou Herald and one daughter-in-law, Debbie McCoy. A Military Service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, The Wounded Warriors or VITAS Healthcare.

So sorry about G.W. He was a good and kind brother and loved by his family and friends. We will miss him very much!

Stan and I will sorely miss G.W. He was an integral part of our “Georgia” life and will live on in the wonderful memories built in the time we had together. We pray that God will lift you up and hold you close in this time of sorrow.
