MATOS, Gloria A., a loving wife, mother and grandmother, of Cooper City, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2015, at the age of 80. She was born on April 2, 1935, in New York, NY, to the late Frank Aviles and Helen Cofresi Aviles. She is survived by her beloved husband, Sifred C. Matos; children, Terry Zimmerman & Fred Lori Matos; brother, George Aviles; sister, Lucy Vega; grandchildren, Brian Kristi Bovingdon, Freddie Matos, Daniel Matos; and great-grandchildren, Brian & Cameron Bovingdon. Funeral Mass was held on Monday, October 12, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at Saint David Catholic Church, followed by burial at Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations be made in Gloria’s memory to The American Cancer Society, 3407 NW 9th Ave, Suite 100, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33309.
