Gloria Magdalena Lombert, age 92, of Miami, FL, coming from Santiago, Dominican Republic, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Jackson North Medical Center. 

Gloria was born on May 10, 1926, the daughter of the late Luis Pena and Fernanda Michel. 

She married the love of her life, Miguel Angel Lombert in 1942. The couple settled in Santiago, where they raised their four children; Rolando, Eredia, Armando Rafael, and Angel. 

Gloria spent most of her life in her native Dominican Republic before relocating to south Florida 24 years ago to be closer to her children. She was a teacher having worked in public schools for years until she opened her own small private school before retiring in 1975. 

Gloria was a devoted and loving mother.  She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a “Grammy” to her 14 grandchildren.  She loved family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her.  She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company.  She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death in August 1, 1997 by her husband Miguel Angel Lombert. Survived by her loving children, Rolando Lombert, Eredia Lombert, Armando Rafael Lombert and his wife Perla, and Angel Lombert and his wife Ana; sisters, Ernestina Medina, Alida Pena, and Elsa Pena; the apple of her eyes, her grandchildren, Bielka, Koren, Maximo, John, Anairis, Lorraine, Raymel, Elmy, Jose Julio, Aida, Rolando Jr, Ronald, Juan, and Jamela. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, Hollywood Boulevard Chapel on Friday, December 21st, from 2:00-5:00 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 4:00 PM.
