Paul, I’m still not over the shock so I cannot imagine what this is like for you. Having just received Heather’s Christmas card earlier this week, it warms my heart. I know it gave her great pleasure to be in touch with friends near and far, old and new..she will be forever in my thoughts and prayers. If this reunion she so wanted to be a part of takes place, it will be in her memory and we’ll celebrate her life. She will be missed by all.

I worked for Carnival Cruise Lines for several years as a Purser. When I transfered departments to work in the casino to be able to be with my then fiancee’ Adam who worked for Seachest Associates, Heather was my first Casino Manager. She took one look at me and said “Juanita…Juanita…Juanita, I smell trouble…!” I promised her I would behave. She was not only my boss–she was my friend. Paul and Adam worked together in the early days of Seachest Associates. Adam was the F & B Mgr. onboard, Paul worked in the Carnival Corporate Office. We were close. She would often ask Adam for her favorite dish…gnocci with meat sauce. :-

I have been fortunate to count Heather and Paul as friends for 20 years. Heather I will never forget you sweet girl.

To the Wilkinson & Gavin Families,

I haven’t seen Heather for many, many years.

It seems so odd, but my family and I just returned from a Carnival Cruise December 28th. While on board, my Mother asked me if I had been in touch with Heather. After returning home, I read the obituary in Florida Today.

Even though we didn’t keep in touch, I still have great memories of the times we spent together in Melbourne.

It’s always sad to lose someone…and reading the guestbook…she touched many people all over the world.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss.

With heartfelt sympathy,

Dear Paul and the Gavin and Wilkinson Families,

The tears and heartache have been almost too much to bear for we will miss Heather’s beautiful presence in our lives.

Paul, we love and pray for you and your family as you brought Heather all the happiness and love in the world.

Mom, Clint, Tamara, Kathleen and Joy, we are with you in love, strength and spirit as we were blessed and honored to have Heather be a great part of our family.

I know that Heather is with our Lord and the Angels and with our father, Carl C. Wilkinson Jr. smiling down on us and helping us cope in these difficult times.

Heather, we will see in Heaven, my dear sister! God bless you and rest in peace.

“IMMORTALITY”

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there,

I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glint on the snow,

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awake in the morning’s hush,

I am the swift, uplifting rush,

Of the quiet birds in circling flight,

Of the purring kitties that make everything all right,

I am the soft star shine of night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there,

I did not die.

Dear Paul and family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. It’s not easy losing your loved one, especially during the Holiday season. I know because I lost my brother years ago on New Year’s Eve.

Time heals all wounds but we never forget them as they will live in our hearts forever.

Life is only as good as you live it and you never know how long you have it for so let’s live it as much as we can, which I’m sure Heather did.

Good luck to you and be strong as I’m sure Heather would want that.

I knew Heather for the past 8 years. We became associated through business where she had a strong passion to give great customer service with the highest level of integrity. She always tried to go the extra mile to help the clients.

Heather is now in heaven where she is face to face with Our Lord and where there is no more pain and sorrow. She is with her Dad too who she sorely missed.

She was a good friend who shared my passion for pink flamingos.

We are forever one in spirit and in the love of God. At all times our strength comes from knowing God’s presence is within each of us and we are never separate from Him. In the stillness of prayer, we give ourselves time to acknowledge God’s precious, embracing love, and our hearts are comforted by knowing that we are eternally connected to our loved ones through the Christ Presence that strengthens and heals all.

With enthusiasm, we celebrate and give thanks for the joy of knowing Heather who lived a life full of vitality, harmony, special talents and limitless blessings. Heather holds a special place in our hearts, our prayers and our memories. Praying from a faith deep within us, we trust God to surround, heal and protect Heathers’s family and loved ones during this tremendously difficult time. May God cradle each of you in His Love, as only He can. “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with all of you”—2 Thessalonians 3:16

The Hawaiian word aloha is used as a hello and a farewell. With love and affection we say aloha to our dear Heather–wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, co-worker, friend… and though we may be temporarily parted, we remain one in spirit and one in the love of God. And when we are reunited, we will greet our beloved with all the love and affection with which we parted.

Aloha, Heather. Our lives were made richer because of you.

Dear Paul,

You are my cousin and even though we see each other rarely, and you have lived in the States for many years I want you to know how very very sad I am for you in your heartbreaking loss. And even though I met Heather only the once at your Mum and Dave’s wedding I found her funny, friendly and so very approachable – a really lovely lady. I cannot begin to know your pain only to tell you we are thinking of you and wishing you all strength that Heather would have wanted you to have.

Shall claim of death cause us to grieve

And make our courage faint and fall?

Nay! Let us faith and hope receive..

Your rose still grows beyond the wall,

Scattering fragrance far and wide

Just as it did in days of yore,

Just as it does on the other side,

Just as it will forevermore.

Don’t think of her as gone away –

Her journey has just begun

Life holds many facets

The Earth is only one

Just think of her as resting

From the sorrows and the tears

In a place of warmth and comfort

Where there are no days and years

Think how she must be wishing

That we could know today

How nothing but our sadness

can really pass away

And think of her as living

In the hearts of those she touched

For nothing loved is ever lost-

And she was loved so much.

To say were shocked is an understatement, and we both share the grief you are obviously enduring. Your story brought back so many memories of tragic circumstances, that it was difficult to respond in a more timely manner, for which I apologise.

Heather, despite onl;y seeing and meeting her on a couple of occasions unfortunately, was an obviously warm loving person who clearly brought much love and warmth into your life. We will remember her with fond memories and be grateful that she, all be it breifly, entered our lives. Every day will be hard Paul, but be strong and remember that many are with you at this time and forever, after the dark days will come many happy memories and live each day as Heather would have wished you to. Thinking of you XXXFrom Karen
