Hector Abel Ortiz, age 85, of Miramar, Florida, passed away April 16, 2025. He was born on September 13, 1939 to the late Guillermo Ortiz and Julia Cuebas.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Guillermo Ortiz and several close family members who were like siblings to him.

Hector is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carmen Iris Ortiz; children: Hector Kenneth Ortiz, Cynthia Ortiz-Correa and her husband, Alfonso Correa and Andres Ortiz and his wife, Kelly Smith; grandchildren: Adriana Correa, Javier Correa, Isabel Ortiz and Madelyn Ortiz; brothers: Ivan Ortiz and David Ortiz and his wife, Maria Romani and sister, Elba Ortiz and her husband, Javier Mercado.

Visitation to be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33024.

Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 701 N. Hiatus Road, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33026.

Graveside Service at 2:00 PM until 2:30 PM at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 N. State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449, with Military Honors to be rendered by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
