Hernán Osorno Jiménez, passed away peacefully at his home in Pembroke Pines, Florida, on Thursday, September 8, 2022. He was born on November 2, 1931, in Medellin, Colombia, to Gustavo Osorno Casas and Clara Rosa Jiménez Monroy. He graduated from the Universidad de Antioquia with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and later obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of EAFIT in Medellin. 

He spent his professional life working in the garment industry in Colombia and Venezuela, before immigrating to Spain and latter to the US. Hernan considered his greatest achievements to be a husband to the ‘Love of his Life’ Consuelo, and a father to his four children, Beatriz (Chiqui), Hernan David (Nancho), Angela (Cone), and Ana Cristina (Titi). 

Hernan was intelligent, kind, and funny. He acquired an enormous amount of knowledge through his travels, his curious nature, and his love for learning, which he was happy to pass along to his children anytime a topic would come up. He made people laugh with his dry wit, and made his love felt to everyone around him. He will be greatly missed by his wife, his children, his grandchildren Marcos, Rhoda and Cristina, and all his friends.

Hernán Osorno Jiménez, falleció en paz en su casa en Pembroke Pines, Florida, el jueves 8 de septiembre de 2022. Nació el 2 de noviembre de 1931 en Medellín, Colombia, hijo de Gustavo Osorno Casas y Clara Rosa Jiménez Monroy. Se graduó de la Universidad de Antioquia con una Licenciatura en Química Farmacéutica, y posteriormente obtuvo una Maestría en Administración de Empresas de la Universidad EAFIT en Medellín.

Pasó su vida profesional trabajando en la industria de la confección en Colombia y Venezuela, antes de immigrar a España y mas tarde a los Estados Unidos. Hernán consideró que sus mayores logros eran ser esposo del ‘Amor de su Vida’ Consuelo, y padre de sus cuatro hijos, Beatriz (Chiqui), Hernán David (Nancho), Ángela (Cone) y Ana Cristina (Titi). 

Hernán era inteligente, bondadoso y divertido. Adquirió una enorme cantidad de conocimiento a través de sus viajes, su naturaleza curiosa y su amor por el aprendizaje, que estaba feliz de transmitir a sus hijos cada vez que surgía un tema. Hizo reír a la gente con su ingenio seco e hizo sentir su amor a todos los que lo rodeaban. Será enormemente extrañado por su esposa, sus hijos, sus nietos Marcos, Rhoda and Cristina, y todos sus amigos.
