Idalia Capella Iglesias

Born September 22, 1933 in Matanzas, Cuba and passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 20, 2022. She was 89 years old. She is survived by her Sister Dolores Gaitan, son Luis Iglesias, daughter Rose Gandero and grandson Alex Gandero. Idalia left Cuba in 1962 with her children after being separated. Idalia raised her two children on her own. She played the piano and sang for a living. She worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for them and sent them to the best Catholic School in Miami to assure a proper upbringing. Idalia worked in many famous establishments and El Nuevo Herald even wrote an article about her amazing musical talents. She was a natural and truly enjoyed playing and singing for her audience. Idalia was also very religious and was an avid reader. She will be terribly missed and will always be in our hearts and prayers.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 24 between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Boyd Panciera – 6400 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, FL 33024
