David West, 69, of Hollywood, Florida left this life on October 28, 2024. He was born May 15,1955 in
Hickory, North Carolina, and was the son of the late Jackie David West, Sr. and Lilly Grace West, and his
late brother John Ray West from Myrtle Beach SC. He is survived by his wife Tina Marie West; his
children, Trae West, Matthew Shinkle, Jamie Marie Eisenstein, Joseph Noel Garrison; 5 grandchildren,
Savanah, Cameron, Dylan, Emily, Brooke and great grandson Jackson; Sister Vickie Denise West and
Brother Michael Stewart West. He enjoyed spending time with his family from South Carolina, North
Carolina and Florida.

David graduated from Socastee High School, went to Clemson University and was a dedicated Clemson
Tiger. He was a huge college football fan and enjoyed watching all sports. He also enjoyed horseback
riding, barrel racing, glamping, barbecuing, cooking, fishing, riding motorcycles, listening to Classic
Southern Rock and enjoyed listening to a good live band. There was nothing better than a perfectly grilled
steak on the grill or a pot of his beans and cornbread.

David was a business owner and worked as a construction superintendent for 35 years. He was involved
in building most of the high rises throughout coastal Miami-Dade County. He was admired and respected
by many in his industry for his commitment, dedication, and hard work. He was always the first one on the
job. He helped many others achieve success in the construction industry and had many lifelong friends
that he cherished. He was loved and respected by many.

David is already missed terribly by his friends and family. Everyone is welcome to come out and celebrate
David’s life with his family for food and drinks at 12:00 PM on Sunday December 8th at the American Legion
Post 142, 171 SW 2nd Street, Pompano Beach, Fl. 33060.
