I actually just found out today that Jamal passed on. I send my condolences to his family. The last time I spoke with him was the end of October beginning of November. I certainly feel at a loss since I can never speak with him again and was unable to attend the services or send a card. So often we take for granted that our friends will be there when we get a minute to call. We need to make time to keep in contact with those we say we love. I know the Lord makes no mistakes and I pray we are all satisfied with that. Jamal and I met at NOLA Animal clinic in New Orleans where I used to work. We immediately became friends and I enjoyed he and Junior’s his pitt bull company. I knew he loved to ride that bike…I disliked it and always told him he should sell it. Well, I just wanted to pay some respect to my friend.God Bless.

My condolences to Jamal’s family and friends. I had the pleasure of befriending a great person. Jamal, even in his worst days, was able to encourage me and reasure me that there was going to be a pie in the sky, with my name on it and because of that, I will not stop until I get that pie. I am so thankful to have had the chance to visit with Jamal in Gainsville, FL, August ’06 and speaking with him continously until November ’06. He will be dearly missed.

I remember last year when you called early that morning and said “you know today is my birthday” and I said “now you know I remembered that if I didn’t remember anything else.” I even told you that your gift was already in the mail, you were like so ecstatic about it….but you knew I always remember, we talked about it often enough….you always laughed when I asked you to remember mine and you never did, but it was okay. Just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAMAL…..
