First of all, our deepest sympathy to Janet and the rest of the family. We are so sorry for the loss of such a great and wonderful man. We will always remember him for his kindness and never ending willingness to help in any situation. He was always there, when we needed him, if it was to spend his Friday afternoon, opening the club for us and then waiting patiently for us to finish our rehearsal after hours and hours, so he could lock up the doors. He never said no to any help we needed with the sound system and so much more, he did for us. We will always remember him and he will always have a special place our hearts. Rest in peace, Jim. We love you!

I am not a member of the family but i knew Mr. James Cavallaro when i was a young man.
I met him through my childhood best friend, Shana, who I have been friends with since elementary school.

I used to hang out with her at her grandparents house practically all the time and I got to know them both very well. sir James was an avid painter from what I remember and Shana used to show me his artwork almost all the time.

my most fondest memories where when Shana invited me to go with the family to visit the German-American club. I was shy at first but I was encouraged by both her, her family and staff at the club to make myself at home and if I’m willing, to assist with the event at the time.

I got to dress in a clown suit, wear a rainbow wig with a fake nose and fire a blank in a tiny canon on stage (although Shana’s father had to complete that task for me as the firing mechanism was too hard to pull for me). I made plenty of new friends, both with staff and with the children of the regulars at the club. even though I didn’t see them as often as I did Shana, it was always a pleasure to be with them.

considering my home situation at the time, I got to enjoy things I rarely got to enjoy as a child as time went on;; a family. a home away from home. and not just with Mr. James, but with the rest of the Cavallaro family

and when I heard that Mr. James had passed away, it got me thinking of all the memories I’ve had with him and everyone else. out of all the things I’ve been through and all the things I’ve learned; the kindness, generosity, and inclusion of the Cavallaro family left an impact for me and guided me into the mold I used to be the man I am today.

I may not have spent time with him as much, but I hope where ever he is now, I hope he knows how much of an impact he has had in this world. not just with his family, but with other persons outside of his family such as myself.

Thank you to the Cavallaro family

And a Big Thank you to Mr. James. May you rest in peace
