Janet Lynn Mandell, beloved sister, passed away in her home in Hollywood, Florida on January 30th, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was born on September 22nd, 1958, in Miami, Florida. She was 67 years old.

Her early years were spent between Miami and Baltimore, Maryland before finally settling in Hollywood, Florida.

Janet graduated from McArthur Highschool in Hollywood in 1976 and then went to cosmetology school and became a very successful hairdresser. After years of building her clientele, she was proud to open her own business called “Salon Paris”. She loved her career of making people beautiful and continued until her retirement.

She is preceded by her parents Harold and Shirley (Megoran) Mandell. She is survived by three sisters, Laura (Tony) Vitale, Renee (Rik) Reinhart and Leslie (Paul) Kleinman, along with nieces Jessica and Christina and nephews Rhett and Shay, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins. She is also survived by her dear friends Carol Matthews and Lisa Hoffmeyer, who were consistently by her side during her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on February 21st, 2026, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at her sister Laura’s Home, located at 4600 SW 143rd Avenue, Miramar, Florida 33027.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to The Parkinson’s Foundation or your charity of choice.

My husband always said JANET was the most beautiful girl he’d ever met. The great part was the beauty that comes from inside! She will make a perfect angel, with a little naughty on the side.
I plan to be there 2/21.
