In loving memory of John (Jack) Anthony Owoc, who passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023. He was the devoted husband of Vicki Owoc for 66 years and the loving father of Cindi Clayton, Greg Owoc, Jack Owoc, Victor Owoc, and Vinnie Owoc. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jack Owoc, born to Eleanor and Andrew Owoc, on October 26, 1933 in McKeesport, PA. He had 3 brothers and 1 sister. He attended Mckeesport High School where he was president of his class. He spent 3 years in the seminary, ready to be ordained as a Catholic priest when he met his beloved wife. He then went on to attend the University of Stuebenville where he received a degree in business. In 1967, Jack relocated to Miramar, Florida where he became an active member in his community. He was the President of the Miramar/Pembroke Pines Rotary and President of the Miramar Chamber of Commerce.
Jack’s biggest passion in life was music. He played the piano, accordion, clarinet, banjo, guitar and saxophone. He would also play the organ at St Bartholomew and other local churches. When he was not playing music, you could find him on the tennis courts.
He was a man of strong faith and he taught us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right.
Jack was a true role model who we will always look up to. He has touched so many hearts.
