JOHN FITZGERALD (91) of Pembroke Pines, Florida. December 11th-July8th, 2022. He was formerly of Bronx, New York and Green Road, Abbeyleix, County Laois, Ireland
John Fitzgerald passed away on July 8th 2022, after a short illness. He was born on the Green Road, Abbeyleix, County Laois, Ireland to the late William and Mary Fitzgerald. He left Ireland in 1958 to start a new life in America, arriving in New York where he was soon joined by Breda. They married in January 1959 and spent over 63 devoted years together before his death. Following 13 years living in Ireland from 1969, John, Breda and their family returned to New York, living in Woodlawn section of the Bronx. John was a carpenter and a loyal member of the Local 608 until his death. After retiring to South Florida some almost 20 years ago, he took up golf and enjoyed travelling as well as the many social activities at Park Place in Pembroke Pines where he lived until recently; however, he never lost his love and interest in Ireland and the national sports of football and hurling
John is survived by his beloved wife Breda and his children and their partners, Sheila, Kevin and Margaret, Brian and Trish, John and Patricia, Eileen and Greg, Kathleen and Brian and Lisa and Damon. He will be very sadly missed by his 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and his very wide circle of family and friends in New York, Florida and Ireland

There is a gathering of Family and Friends on July 15, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM with a Prayer Service to be held at 2:00 PM at Boyd-Panciera Pembroke Pines Chapel located at 1600 N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL, 2024
