John Wesley Stafford, 71, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 8, 2022.  He was born October 7, 1950, in Chicago and grew up there.   A graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago, he worked for the Chicago Transit Authority, from which he retired.  He played piano and guitar in bands  in the Midwest for several years.

He lived in Hollywood, FL since 2005 with his wife Maria, who died of COVID in 2021.  His parents, John Paul Stafford, Jr., and Margaret Honnell Stafford of Chicago, predeceased him.   His beloved brother Ferris and sister Jeanne predeceased him as well.

Grieving deeply for him are his first wife Soni Stafford of Hollywood, FL, their sons Peter of Chicago, and Adrian of Hollywood, FL, his grandchildren James and Luna Stafford, his sister Beth Stafford of Champaign, IL, nieces Nicky Joice, Gina Stafford also from Champaign, Diana Sanchez and Jaquelyne McCarthy of San Diego, CA and nephews Scott Stafford of Muncie, IN and Brett Stafford of  St. Petersburg, FL, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Also grieving him deeply are Tony Phillips and Walter Malva of Chicago and Sal Darbo of Hollywood, FL.
