Jose Antonio Garcia Castillo was born in Jaruco, Cuba in 1964. At the age of 6 he migrated with his family to the United States with his mother, father and sister. He grew up in Hialeah, Florida making countless friends that last a lifetime and had met his high school sweetheart and dear wife Ingrid. Jose, also known as Tony to many, pursued and was accomplished in Art. His talent never went unnoticed and is appreciated by countless people. Tony had also fathered 3 children. Anthony, Daniel and David. Tony had worked for himself but always put others before him. He was passionate about the Miami Dolphins, the University of Miami Hurricanes, Florida Marlins and the Stetson University Hatters. He spent time creating art, teaching his sons and others how to play baseball and sharing special moments of laughter with his friends and family. We are blessed to have known such a selfless, generous, kind, loving and hard working man who left a long lasting impact on those who he met and his family. Tony has left a legacy of laughter and happiness. He will always be remembered as the great son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, coach and friend that he exemplified every single day and has inspired others to be the best version of themselves while enjoying life to the fullest.

Ingrid and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know that sounds so shallow. He was the world. I remember the first time I met him at Annettes house, Those boys were 12 or 13 years old and one was funnier than the other. Jennifer was a baby and he was enthralled with her. He sang to her, rocked her made her laugh. He was one of the greatest sensitive kids I ever met. They were the fearsome foursome!
Always happy with a contagious laugh!
We were all at Annettes one afternoon following Crystal K.s Baptism. Annette had the backyard set up so nice everyone was in groups talking and eating around the pool. My little tough guy Brian , barely two in is little suit walked up to the pool and walked right in. I started screaming, everyone panicked as he was at the bottom of the pool, Tony, all dressed up, shoes and all, didnt hesitate to jump in that cold water and pull him up, He saved him and for that he has always been my hero. I love you Tony and I will never forget you. See you heaven my friend. Fly high! Lisa Kubis

Tony was always the life of the party. Every time we got together over the years, he always had a joke! He made everyone feel happy. He was also an incredible husband to my cousin Ingrid and father to my cousins Anthony, Daniel, and David. He was also an amazing and creative person. I admired his passion for painting and creating beautiful things. I pray God pours his love, peace, healing, and comfort to my beautiful family during these difficult times. I love you all and I will forever be here for you.

I am so sorry to hear this news. Our time with Tony was brief. My son played travel ball on Elite Squad in H.S. with Danny. I was so grateful for all of the pictures Tony took and shared with the rest of us. Mostly, I appreciated his genuine kindness toward our family, and his truly good wishes for all of the boys on the team. Tony was a special person who made a lasting impact.

My Tony how your smile was infectious, your laughter and your sense of humor was amazing. We’re gonna miss you so much.. Such a good friend to everyone. Your artistry was above all others and so very very beautiful. Ingrid you and Tony raised three beautiful boys that have hearts full of love and kindness. Your friendships mean the world to Jorge (Squiggy) and I. There is lapse in time between us. We love you and will always be there.
